Spring Recital Dress Rehearsals
All dancers are to attend the dress rehearsal at Darton College for their spring recital. The dates are published a year in advance so that you may put these dates on your calendar. We ask that you do not plan any other events on these dates. Your dancer, staff, and production crews work very hard all season to bring you a fantastic show in May.
When dancers miss dress rehearsal or productions, this causes an adverse effect on other dancers, staff, and crew. Choreography is the art of creating dances and one of the criteria is based on the number of dancers in class.
Often, partnering is created and lines and rows that depend on every dancer's participation. In show business this is known as ensemble work. When a member of an ensemble is missing, it jeopardizes the entire number that has been choreographed specifically for your dancer's class.
Regardless of age, whether 3 or 73, it is imperative that your dancer participate when the commitment has already been made. We run a full dress rehearsal, to make sure there will be no errors for your recital. More information about dress rehearsal will be covered during Parent's Week, please check the
